Summer

Well, I haven't been here for quite awhile, so...where to start? :-/ well, camp was last month and I had SOOOOOO much fun! It was good to see ya again Katherine! and it was nice to meet you too Emily! hope to see y'all again real soon. Anyways, the guest speaker this year was Steve Camp, who was totally awesome. He was really funny, and had plenty of stories to tell...lol. but I also have great respect for him now. Anyone who doesn't know, Steve Camp was a pretty popular Christian singer back in like the 80's I believe (Katherine or Emily can feel free to correct me if I get my info wrong...my memory's sometimes a little fuzzy). But basically he quit when all the Christian record companies sold out to secular record companies, and now he does stuff on his own, and only gives FREE concerts. He says that if you're a Christian artist, that your music is your ministry, and ppl shouldn't hafta pay to be ministered to. But anyways, as I said, I have a great respect for him because he is very bold for the Lord, and isn't afraid to do what's right, no matter what ppl think of him or do to him. I only wish I was so bold.
So, besides Steve Camp, we had also had a great time hanging out. We even sang opera on the steps in the sports cafe, which was hilarious, especially when we scared Chris away....lol. hmmmm...oh I also met James (a.k.a "Edmund", because he looks JUST like Edmund from Narnia....except he doesn't have the freckles). so I have decided that he is probably the strangest and funniest person I know. I thought I knew some strange people....I was wrong. But what can you say about ppl like James, who find pleasure in playing "Pikmin", and playing idiotic games on the internet, like stretching monkeys to insane lengths on branches to try to collect bananas? Plus, he can make some of the funniest facial expressions. It makes me laugh every time I just picture it. Or the way that Stephen always bossed him around. "don't talk, James!" lol Or when he was playing "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" Don't ask me why he liked playing it so much, but he did. it wouldn't be so funny, except that he wasn't exaclty.......perfect at it, if you get my drift, so it was more like this: "Can you-feel....the-love....to......night...." and so on. lol I can never hear that song again w/o picturing James playing it.
Well, in short, all of camp was tons of fun. Except for the last day, Friday. Some virus was going around and like 50 ppl ended up sick, which included throwing up and diarrhea. and 2 of the 50 were in our group, including my sister, Andrea. I felt so bad for her. Her first time to camp, and it ended w/ her puking in a trash bag in the van on the way home......lol. Katherine got sick too, actually, but luckily it was only once, and I think it was more brought on by nerves, because we were all so afraid of ending up sick too. lol I know felt like puking too. :-/
So besides camp, I have also started a summer class at Hill College in Cleburne---Speech. *Darth Vader Theme* If there's one thing I can't stand....it's speaking in front of groups of people. It is physically impossible for me. or so I though anyways. However, so far the speech class has been going fairly well. of course, we're two weeks into it and haven't done one speech yet, unless you include where we each had to stand up and introduce ourselves, but that wasn't that bad. so I've decided that Speech won't be as bad as I thought. Hey, if I can conquer this dreaded class, I can do just about ANYTHING. ;) Plus, to be honest, I would probably prefer speaking in a class like this where I know absolutely no one. that might sound strange, but it's a little easier actually because that way I know that I'll most likely never see these people again as long as I live, and I could care less what they think of me.
OH!!! before I go, I just HAVE to add one thing: I saw Pirates of the Caribbean 2 last weekend!!! mwahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!! it was really good, of course. I knew it would be. Jack Sparrow is AWESOME. Unfortunately, we went to see it Friday, the day it came out, but of course NO ONE would listen to me. I told them, "if we're gonna go see the 3:00 showing, we need to get there at LEAST and hour ahead of time, but preferably even soon than that, cuz this is a very popular movie, and it'll be sold out pretty quick if we don't hurry." but, of course, nobody heeded my wisdom, so we showed up 15-30 minutes b/4 it started, and lo and behold......it was sold out. I TOLD them so, which I pointed out btw to them as we drove back home. so we hadda wait til SATURDAY, because we had something else planned Friday night. But at least I got to see it. Plus, mom and dad haven't seen it, so I'll go see it again. hehehe.
Oh, one more thing: Enya has a NEW SINGLE coming to the USA! (finally). she's already had 2 I think, but neither came to the USA. one was in Europe and one in Japan. so, she has a new single: "Someone Said Goodbye." ooooohhhh, I'm so excited! I hope it hurries up and gets here already! *jumping up and down*

Sorry about the length, but I haven't been on in so long that so much has happened! I'll try to do better next time. I don't blame you if you gave up half way through and said "forget this!" But if you are one of the "few and the proud" that made it alive to the end of this post, I take my imaginary hat off to you and congratulate you on your fine achievement. Have an imaginary gold star and a pat on the back. :-D

Stephanie

p.s. Katherine and Emily: "Destroy, Destroy, Destroooooooooy it! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" ;) (inside joke)
